The Raritan Dominion PX allows users to remotely power on/off, reboot, monitor and control power in the data center. Standard features include outlet-level power metering, secure IP access (256-bit AES encryption), user-configurable power sequencing, and the ability to set warning/shutoff thresholds at the outlet and unit levels. Additionally, the outlet on/off status is retained in the event of power loss restoring power only to those receptacles that were on before the outage. Outlet grouping is available enabling power cycling to servers with redundant power supplies. Raritan's IP clustering feature enables users to daisy chain power strips together.
These intelligent PDUs can be managed with a user-friendly browser interface, or with other interfaces/protocols that might be preferred by IT administrators, including SSH, Telnet, IPMI, and SMASH CLI. The Dominion PX also supports advanced authorization options, including strong password, outlet-level permissions, and support for LDAP/S, RADIUS, TACACS+, and Active Directory.
The Dominion PX can be used as a standalone power management solution or integrated with Raritan Access Solutions such as Dominion KX, SX, or KSX as well as the Paragon II. For centralized management, the PDUs and Access Solutions can be managed through Raritan's CommandCenter Secure Gateway.
The Dominion PX intelligent PDUs are available in 1U, 2U, and Zero U form factors and 8, 12, or 20 available receptacles. Both NEMA and IEC plug-type combinations are available, and the units are certified by most major agencies worldwide.
Below is a sampling of the Dominion PX Screenshots:
Outlets Display
Turn individual outlets OFF and ON and monitor the individual outlets and the rack PDU overall. Each outlet features an icon whose color and flashing status indicates the status of the outlet.
Outlet Details
Displays the current, voltage and power values and status of a specific outlet in real time, and allows the user to power on, off and power cycle the outlet.
Alert Configuration Window
Allows users to set event policies, for example, configure Dominion PX to send an alert if a particular outlet's current draw exceeds the critical threshold set by using the Outlet Setup Window.
