Single User KVM over IP

The Smart 108IP/116 IP gives system administrators secure, web-based access, control and management to a rack of up to 8/16 servers, either remotely or locally. The rack mountable, 1U sized switch features innovative ROC (KVM over CAT5) technology that directly connects the Smart 108IP/116 IP to each server in the rack, eliminating cable clutter and providing up to 30m/100ft between the server and switch.

The Smart 108IP/116IP is a perfect fit for businesses that have a number of offices in disparate locations, and for businesses that are planning on expanding. The Smart 108IP/116IP can be managed by Minicom’s remote management solutions, AccessIT and KVM.net II.

The Smart 108IP/116IP supports the highest security standards for encryption (256-bit AES and HTTPS) and authentication of remote users. The Smart 108/116 offers the option of exclusive mode, where users can choose not to share sessions with any other users. With the Smart 108IP/116IP, administrators can configure user access rights, with advanced OSD management that has multi-layer security for both local and remote users

As an out-of-band solution, the Smart 108IP/116IP lets users connect directly to servers at the BIOS level and offers access and control over mixed platforms, including PS/2 and USB devices. The Smart 108IP/116IP also supports multiple platforms for clients: Windows OS (with Internet Explorer or Firefox) and Linux OS (with Firefox).

Multi-user KVM over IP

The Smart 216/232 IP enables one local and two remote users, access and control of up to 32 servers. In addition, two remote users can operate serial sessions for controlling serial devices such as routers, managed network switches or PDU’s. These rack-mountable, 1U sized switches feature Minicom KVM over CAT5 technology that directly connects the switch to each computer in the server room, eliminating cable clutter and providing up to 30m/100ft of distance between server and switch. The Smart 216 IP and 232 IP have built-in web servers enabling two remote users seamless access to target servers via a single IP address.

You can control the power of your servers remotely though seamless integration with any Smart PDU (SNMP). That means you can Execute critical power commands during a remote KVM session and you can Cut response time dramatically while avoiding hazardous mistakes - reboot servers faster without juggling between management applications.
